...?

I honestly don't know where today went.  Especially the evening.  We ate dinner and suddenly it's 9 o'clock.  Ugh.  Do you use personas? They are these pictures that you can have kind of like a background for your internet (of course, that is if you use Firefox).   I like to change mine up a little bit every now and then.  Can you guess what I just changes it to?  Almost halfway through the week.  I kept thinking it was Wednesday today.  But it's Tuesday :$  February the 29th tomorrow eh? (wow, I AM Canadian!) An extra day this year, spend it wisely.
Now before you click on "Read More", I want to warn you that it contains the answer to the puzzle from the weekend.  So if you only check my blog every few days, read the weekend's post first.

Not Much...

I JUST MADE LEMON POPPY SEED POUND CAKE/LOAF!!!!! Not actually that exciting, but that's about all I did this afternoon/evening.  I had a eye appointment, eyes are healthy and fine (as usual).  I've always liked eye appointments, and don't ask why (I have no idea).  Oh, and we also went to Kiwi Kraze.  I thought I had loaded a substantial amount of fro yo and topping in my bowl, but it turns out I had the lightest bowl (for those of you who don't know, Kiwi Kraze charges you by weight).  By about 6oz.  That's a lot.  Oh well. Story of my afternoon. This book I want to read, Pandemonim, sequel to Delirium, comes out tomorrow, super excited!

Weekend is Over

So the walk went well, it was only cold because of the wind, so it wasn't too bad (and definitely not the coldest night of the year).  I raised the most money out of all our youth group so I get a $25 gift card to wherever I want.  Unfortunately, this means I have to choose something, and if you know me, I cannot make decisions.  I might choose iTunes or Starbucks.  Or Chapters.  Or Amazon.  Or maybe just Apple in general (I want to buy an new iPod).  See? Can't choose.  Did you know it's only 2 weeks till March break?!?! It's coming up soooo fast!  Since Sherlock is over, my friend lent me her DW series 6 DVD set, so I've been watching that.  But I only have one episode left.  So now I don't know what I'm going to do with myself.  I guess I'll read.  Right now I'm reading Are You Smart Enough To Work At Google?  It's all about these 'trick' questions Google or other businesses might ask.  They're not all trick questions, but some really make you think.  For example, What comes next in the following series?

SSS, SCC, C, SC

Believe me, you'll never figure it out. At least I don't think you will.  I couldn't.  But just to torture you, I'm not going to tell you the answer.  JK, the answer is SSSS.  But now the question is, how on earth did you get that? That, I will wait to tell you.  Good luck!
This is Rory from DW.  He is Amy's husband (He and Amy are the Doctor's companion/traveling buddy).  Rory is very protective of Amy but the Doctor often separates them so Rory has to go looking for Amy.  You know, I always try and explain these pictures to you, but I wonder do you actually understand? Or even try to understand?  Cause I probably don't make a lot of sense.  Anyways, I think this is just hilarious, but I guess you would have had to seen DW to understand.  Maybe you should all just watch DW so you can understand and get a laugh out of these pictures like I do.
I got a card this weekend that had this on the front.  It was from my BFFLAAT's mom, asking me to tell my BFFLAAT about my blog.  I'm trying to think of some creative way of letting her tell my BFFLAAT.  Maybe that will be your birthday gift, J.  How about that?  Anyways, now that I think about it, in some ways I probably am more interesting on my blog.  I am very quiet and don't talk a lot, but here I just let it all out.  Oh well. I should probably end this, this is probably the longest post I've ever done!

Free Time

The play last night was good overall.  There was nothing on stage for the entire play, every prop got rolled on or off at some point.  The transitions between scenes was very very well done, I was impressed.  On the other hand, there were definitely some scenes that I thought were bare, as in lacking props.  The stage almost seemed too big for what was going on.  But other than that, very well done.  I'm doing the Coldest Night Of The Year walk tomorrow, I reached my goal for raising money, so I'm pretty happy.  My school's semi formal dance is tomorrow ("go to school on a saturday?" as my brother said), but I decided to do the walk instead.  Yeah, that's right.  Making myself look good by walking 5km (that's right, 5km [not actually that far I'm sad to say...]) and raising money for homeless people instead of going to a dance.  To be honest though, dances don't really appeal to me that much, so it's not that big of a deal, like I'm making it seem.  Oh well.  Might be kind of lonely while walking.  I mean, my youth group will be there, but I don't know how much of them are going to show up.  My friends who come to youth group with me said they would do the walk, but they decided to go to that dance instead.  (Honestly, I'm not that surprised, but don't tell them I said that).  So I'm gonna bring some music to listen to and just walk along side...somebody.  There is one person who I kind of hang out and know well that's doing it, so I'll probably walk with her.   Wish me luck...we're supposed to be getting a snow storm :(
Speaking of free time (or lack thereof), did any of you notice the poll I put up?  Don't bother looking, it's gone now.  It 'closed' a few days ago.  Well, I'm guessing you didn't notice or you did and just didn't vote.  The way this connects to free time BTW is that the poll asked what you do with your free time.  Only one person voted and they voted for '...what free time?!?'.  :D Sometimes I couldn't agree more.
This is a picture of The Lorax, by Dr. Seuss.  I really want to see the movie!

Long Time No See

Whoa...been over a week since I posted? What is the world coming to??? Anyways, Sherlock was amazing and has the WORST CLIFF-HANGER EVER!!!  Sherlock died as expected...but then came back...also as expected.  The way he came back though is you see John Watson crying over Sherlock's grave, wanting Sherlock to magically come back (ironic, no?).  Then as John walks away the camera pans over to Sherlock watching John from the trees.  And then it ends!!! So you know he's still alive, but not how!!!! Torture!  My friends and I have our theories: a biker knocked (more like purposely pushed) John over as he ran to Sherlock after he jumped off the roof (how he 'dies'), so John doesn't see Sherlock right after he jumps.  Also, before he kills himself, Sherlock talks to Molly (a person who works at the hospital and is good friends with Sherlock) and he says 'I need you' as in her help. Then you never see Molly again.  And last but not least, Mycroft, Sherlock's brother, told Moriarty, Sherlock's greatest enemy, all about Sherlock and his history. But then Mycroft talks to John about apologizing to Sherlock and that might have something to do with it. (Also, Mycroft is art of the British Government so he has a lot of power).  On another note, going to the grand tonight, can't remember what play it is, either The Great Gatsby of Tempting Providence.  I'm more interested in seeing TGG now than I was originally now that I've read the book.  Better go study for T and T, I have a test tomorrow.  It's a short week this week, only one more day!
This picture is refering to the Weeping Angels in DW.  "The Weeping Angels had a unique and nearly-perfect defence mechanism: quantum-locking, which caused them to turn into stone when being observed.  It could also be done by instinct, when they believed they were being watched. When not being observed, they could move incredibly fast, though they appear to slow down the closer they get to their prey. However, quatum-locking meant that they had to cover their eyes when in their stony form; if they saw each other they would be trapped forever. Though they have normally been seen to resemble winged human women, they can appear in many statue forms, meaning any statue could be a Weeping Angel." (I didn't write that...)  So yeah, that's what the pic is about...  A DW Weeping Angels lesson for you there! :)

Stuff.......

Sherlock is TOMORROW!!!! Can't wait to see how the finale will end.  According to the books, this is where Sherlock "dies".  See, Doyle didn't want to write about Sherlock anymore so he killed him off.  But then the public got mad and wanted more Sherlock so Doyle wrote another book explaining how Sherlock didn't actually die and brought him back and continued to write about Sherlock. (When Doyle killed Sherlock, he didn't say 'Sherlock's dead'.  He actually disappeared in the woods or something and everyone assumed he died).  Hopefully Sherlock (in the show) only disappears and doesn't actually die.  Oh well.  I have a math test tomorrow, wish me luck!  I think I will do ok, if I can just remember to recognize certain factoring patterns.

BIG NEWS!!!!!!! But since this is the internet and everything, I probably shouldn't say what it is :( What good is having big news if you can't share it with anyone?!?! oh well.  This picture explains me sooooooo well. :D

Angry Birds

So...just finished two hours of math homework...not fun.  It took so long partly because I was doing some of the questions wrong and had to go back and redo them (but at least I understand now!).  Not really a lot going on... My brother bought me an Angry Birds stuffed animal of the green pig just cause he saw it and thought I would like it :)  It was really nice of him.  That boy has some major bipolar-ness going on.  Some times I want to rip his head off, but other times I'm stunned by his kindness.  Unfortunately, it is more frequently the beheading feeling.   Now I own the red bird, yellow bird and green pig Angry Birds stuffed animals.  The pig is bigger than the birds because you can get them in different sizes.  They also make sound, they make their respective sounds from the game.  Sorry I'm kind of rambling on about these stuffed animals that you're probably wondering why I have in the first place, but that's all that's new with me.

You Can Finally See What I've Been Talking About

Sunset at Sea - Hassam

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, this is it!  This is my final art project.  I was going to do the entire box, but I was running out of time so I just did the two sides.  The one at the top is the painting it was based off of.  The second and third pic are of the two sides I did, and then the last one is just on an angle so that you can see the box.  The two sides that I did are opposite of each other.  I think it turned out pretty well, I like the sea part the best.  I used three mediums (as required for the project): pastel (for the sky), ink (for the TADRIS), and acrylic (for the sea).  It's 12"x12", in case you were wondering.  Still don't know what I got on it mark-wise, we get our report cards next week.
Sherlock was amazing!!! A little on the scary side, it was based off Arthur Conan Doyle's The Hounds of the Baskervilles.  Which has big dogs that eat people. Or more like a person.  (Remember, the Sherlock I watch by BBC is a modern take on the stories).  Anyways, when you finally saw the dog (which wasn't until there was like 10 mins left of the show (each episode is two hours including commercials)), it was pretty scary.  I was in my basement and there were no lights on and it was late at night, and lets just say I jumped a few times.  It's amazing how much TV shows can build something up and make you think that something bad is going to happen.  Can't wait for the next one! Which, sadly, is also the last one.  That's the one thing I don't like about Sherlock, each season only has three episodes.

Sherlock

OMG SHERLOCK IS TONIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

'nuff said.

It is every Whovian and Sherlocked person out there's dream to have the Doctor meet Sherlock.  This is a comic showing an example of when they could meet.  Now, you're probably thinking that will never happen.  BUT!!! They are both written by Steven Moffatt, and he has mentioned doing a cross-over so it could happen...all very exciting!  (BTW, this comic is funny because the Doctor (the one in the pool) has two hearts (because he's Timelord), so he's offering one to Sherlock).

Chocolate and...Chips!?!?!?

Plain chips and white chocolate.  Seriously. The.  Best.  Combination.  EVER.  Ok, maybe not ever (peanut butter and chocolate is one of my fav combos), but chips and chocolate is soooo good!  I discovered this last night at my friends surprise birthday party that we had at Forrats (www.forratschocolates.ca).  We ordered dark, milk and white chocolate fondue with a platter of stuff to dip in it.  When the guy brought it out and there were chips on it, we questioned him about them.  He told us that, seriously, it was really good and we needed to try it.  That man is no fool.  I highly suggest trying it out.

Secrets

Found out today that two of my friends have Goodreads accounts, so I can have friends on Goodreads!!! I was rather excited.  The site lets you compare all the books you've marked and tells you how many books you have in common.  But the thing is, I found out (through Goodreads) that one of these friends has a blog.  Turns out I'm not the only one with a secret blog, huh?  I don't think I'm going to tell her that I know about it.  Which makes me think about what if some of my friends know I have a blog but just haven't told me?!?  There is a place on Goodreads where you can put your website, and I didn't put my blog on there, but I've done both accounts with a Gmail account.  So I'm not sure whether she'll make the connection through my Gmail profile.  Speaking of secrets, my friends and I are going to a little chocolate cafe place to have a surprise birthday party for one of our friends.   A lot of my friends have birthdays this month, 4 to be precise.  Well, should be fun.  Except for all the homework I have.  This is a picture of Craig's baby from DW.  Can't remember what the kids' real name is, but, since the Doctor can speak baby, we know that he likes to be called Stormageddon, Dark lord of All.  Just makes me smile, he's so cute.  By the end of the episode though, he prefers his real name cause he loves his dad and his dad named him.  Isn't that just so cute?!?

Tough Luck

I got my art project back today...will work on trying to get a pic of it posted by the end of the week.  If there is not a pic by then, start bugging me about it.  Just started the new semester at school, looks like it is going to be a tough semester.  I have biology, computer science, travel and tourism, and math (functions).  Not too worried about T and T, but not too sure about the others.  I have already been told by my math teacher that there will be at least an hour of homework every night.  So that's what I'm off to do now :( This is a drawing of Sherlock and Watson holding hands.  The show hasn't officially said that they're gay, but everybody knows it :)

All Alone...

Ok, Sherlock was AWESOME!!!!! I love how they picked up from the MAJOR cliff hanger.  Hilarious!!! But now I have to wait till next Thursday for the next episode.  But if you think that I am freaking out, you should have seen my friend when she showed up last night, talk about freaking out!  It was nice to have her there to share my freaking-out-ness with.  :D Ah, I'm freaking out just talking about!  Youth Group is going tubing tonight...despite the serious lack of snow here in London.  Apparently the conditions in St. Mary's are great for tubing, but I have to admit I'm a little skeptical.  Still should be fun though.  I've been doing some scrapbooking over the past couple days, around 6 hours of it.  (Clearly I have to much time on my hands).  But the thing is, I've only done 4 pages.  I think the pages look great, especially my title page for our cruise, but it makes me feel unproductive.  So I stopped, but now I'm not doing anything.  Which is also not productive...  This is a picture from the Sherlock episode.  They are in Buckingham Palace and yes, Sherlock is wearing a sheet.  And nothing else.  :D Gotta love him!

SHERLOCK

Exams are done! Now I don't have school till Monday!  It's all worth it, the panic of exams, to have this break afterwords.  Sweet freedom.  More importantly, Sherlock airs tonight!!!!!!!! I'm so excited, you don't even know.  My friend who understands my so-called "obsession" (just using my parents' words) is coming over to watch it with me.  Sherlock was supposed to air in the fall, but that didn't happen.  So it aired in January instead.  But only on BBC, which, guess what? DOESN'T HAPPEN IN CANADA!!! It said on a site that it was going to air in May when we could finally get to it, which was very disappointing.  BUT!!! (that is a very big but) it's airing on BBC Canada TODAY!!! So I am claiming our basement at 8pm and nobody is allowed to interrupt me and my friend.
