You Can Finally See What I've Been Talking About

Sunset at Sea - Hassam

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, this is it!  This is my final art project.  I was going to do the entire box, but I was running out of time so I just did the two sides.  The one at the top is the painting it was based off of.  The second and third pic are of the two sides I did, and then the last one is just on an angle so that you can see the box.  The two sides that I did are opposite of each other.  I think it turned out pretty well, I like the sea part the best.  I used three mediums (as required for the project): pastel (for the sky), ink (for the TADRIS), and acrylic (for the sea).  It's 12"x12", in case you were wondering.  Still don't know what I got on it mark-wise, we get our report cards next week.
Sherlock was amazing!!! A little on the scary side, it was based off Arthur Conan Doyle's The Hounds of the Baskervilles.  Which has big dogs that eat people. Or more like a person.  (Remember, the Sherlock I watch by BBC is a modern take on the stories).  Anyways, when you finally saw the dog (which wasn't until there was like 10 mins left of the show (each episode is two hours including commercials)), it was pretty scary.  I was in my basement and there were no lights on and it was late at night, and lets just say I jumped a few times.  It's amazing how much TV shows can build something up and make you think that something bad is going to happen.  Can't wait for the next one! Which, sadly, is also the last one.  That's the one thing I don't like about Sherlock, each season only has three episodes.

Sherlock

OMG SHERLOCK IS TONIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

'nuff said.

It is every Whovian and Sherlocked person out there's dream to have the Doctor meet Sherlock.  This is a comic showing an example of when they could meet.  Now, you're probably thinking that will never happen.  BUT!!! They are both written by Steven Moffatt, and he has mentioned doing a cross-over so it could happen...all very exciting!  (BTW, this comic is funny because the Doctor (the one in the pool) has two hearts (because he's Timelord), so he's offering one to Sherlock).

Chocolate and...Chips!?!?!?

Plain chips and white chocolate.  Seriously. The.  Best.  Combination.  EVER.  Ok, maybe not ever (peanut butter and chocolate is one of my fav combos), but chips and chocolate is soooo good!  I discovered this last night at my friends surprise birthday party that we had at Forrats (www.forratschocolates.ca).  We ordered dark, milk and white chocolate fondue with a platter of stuff to dip in it.  When the guy brought it out and there were chips on it, we questioned him about them.  He told us that, seriously, it was really good and we needed to try it.  That man is no fool.  I highly suggest trying it out.

Secrets

Found out today that two of my friends have Goodreads accounts, so I can have friends on Goodreads!!! I was rather excited.  The site lets you compare all the books you've marked and tells you how many books you have in common.  But the thing is, I found out (through Goodreads) that one of these friends has a blog.  Turns out I'm not the only one with a secret blog, huh?  I don't think I'm going to tell her that I know about it.  Which makes me think about what if some of my friends know I have a blog but just haven't told me?!?  There is a place on Goodreads where you can put your website, and I didn't put my blog on there, but I've done both accounts with a Gmail account.  So I'm not sure whether she'll make the connection through my Gmail profile.  Speaking of secrets, my friends and I are going to a little chocolate cafe place to have a surprise birthday party for one of our friends.   A lot of my friends have birthdays this month, 4 to be precise.  Well, should be fun.  Except for all the homework I have.  This is a picture of Craig's baby from DW.  Can't remember what the kids' real name is, but, since the Doctor can speak baby, we know that he likes to be called Stormageddon, Dark lord of All.  Just makes me smile, he's so cute.  By the end of the episode though, he prefers his real name cause he loves his dad and his dad named him.  Isn't that just so cute?!?

Tough Luck

I got my art project back today...will work on trying to get a pic of it posted by the end of the week.  If there is not a pic by then, start bugging me about it.  Just started the new semester at school, looks like it is going to be a tough semester.  I have biology, computer science, travel and tourism, and math (functions).  Not too worried about T and T, but not too sure about the others.  I have already been told by my math teacher that there will be at least an hour of homework every night.  So that's what I'm off to do now :( This is a drawing of Sherlock and Watson holding hands.  The show hasn't officially said that they're gay, but everybody knows it :)

All Alone...

Ok, Sherlock was AWESOME!!!!! I love how they picked up from the MAJOR cliff hanger.  Hilarious!!! But now I have to wait till next Thursday for the next episode.  But if you think that I am freaking out, you should have seen my friend when she showed up last night, talk about freaking out!  It was nice to have her there to share my freaking-out-ness with.  :D Ah, I'm freaking out just talking about!  Youth Group is going tubing tonight...despite the serious lack of snow here in London.  Apparently the conditions in St. Mary's are great for tubing, but I have to admit I'm a little skeptical.  Still should be fun though.  I've been doing some scrapbooking over the past couple days, around 6 hours of it.  (Clearly I have to much time on my hands).  But the thing is, I've only done 4 pages.  I think the pages look great, especially my title page for our cruise, but it makes me feel unproductive.  So I stopped, but now I'm not doing anything.  Which is also not productive...  This is a picture from the Sherlock episode.  They are in Buckingham Palace and yes, Sherlock is wearing a sheet.  And nothing else.  :D Gotta love him!

SHERLOCK

Exams are done! Now I don't have school till Monday!  It's all worth it, the panic of exams, to have this break afterwords.  Sweet freedom.  More importantly, Sherlock airs tonight!!!!!!!! I'm so excited, you don't even know.  My friend who understands my so-called "obsession" (just using my parents' words) is coming over to watch it with me.  Sherlock was supposed to air in the fall, but that didn't happen.  So it aired in January instead.  But only on BBC, which, guess what? DOESN'T HAPPEN IN CANADA!!! It said on a site that it was going to air in May when we could finally get to it, which was very disappointing.  BUT!!! (that is a very big but) it's airing on BBC Canada TODAY!!! So I am claiming our basement at 8pm and nobody is allowed to interrupt me and my friend.
