YO!
I'm (kinda) in the news! Check it out! I painted that piano! With my friend Croissant, we are the "high school students". Ah I'm so happy it finally made it to where it was supposed to be. We painted that over a year ago, and hadn't heard anything about where it was going or when. That just made my day :)

On Wednesdays, we wear pink!
Happy 10th Anniversary to the release of Mean Girls! Went shopping in the states today, and may I just say something? If you have to pin the clothes smaller to fit your mannequins, it probably means that there is something wrong with the size of your mannequins. I only saw it once, but I've definitely seen it multiple times, in both the states and in Canada. Ridiculous. Anyway, got some great deals! Went to see Captain America: The Winter Soldier this evening with my friend Croissant. It was so good to see her again! Aaaah, she makes me so happy every time I see her. And the movie was really good too.

THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO KNOW (QOTD #58)
THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO KNOW HOW SHERLOCK FAKED HIS DEATH. AND. IT. IS. KILLING. ME. And the next episode comes out tomorrow and people will know even more and I will stILL BE SITTING HERE DYINGY BECAUSE I KNOW NOTHING. And since there are only three episodes I might as well say that I'm an entire season behind. There is no positive to my current situation. None, I tell you. Because I can't go on tumblr because tumblr should really be read "spoilers" because really what else do you find on there. Since I can't go on tumblr, I decided to go on Pinterest BUT THERE ARE PINERS PINNING TUMBLR POSTS WITH SPOILERS IN THEM OMG i'm done. i give up. theres no point anymore. i might as well go hide in my bedroom until i can go back to residence in which case I will watch the two episodes and then continue to hide in my room because my brain will shut down from all the feels and overwhelming awseomeness that is Benedict Cumberbatch as Sherlock Holmes. (Also, went to see The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug today with my friend Croissant and it was so good and I love Benedict Cumberbatch even more because his voice. That man has no bounds.)
J, this ^ is a good example of being a part of a fandom. It truly is a love/hate relationship with a lot pining and wishing about things that can't be.
moving on, now that I have that off my chest...
Started rereading The Fault in Our Stars today. Seriously, you all need to read it. I was going to reread it in December, but I needed to meet my Goodreads reading goal (which I did reach, 45 books thank you very much) and Goodreads doesn't let a reread count towards your reading goal. I'm so excited for the movie!!!
58. Ever have a deja-vu feeling?
Not one that is particularly sticking out to me. When I try to think back to a deja-vu moment I might of had, I think of dreams. Not any specific dream, but just dreams in general. I don't know if that is because you could dream about a situation you were in or vice versa?

Happy
I finished The Fault in Our Stars the other day, and it was an amazing book. I highly suggest reading it. I cried. One of my favourite quotes from the book is "My thoughts are stars I can't fathom into constellations." But reading it made me think back to when my friend read it, when it first came out. The first printing, 150,000 books, were all signed by the author, John Green. His brother, Hank, signed 25% of those with a hanklerfish. And even fewer of those were doodled in by John's wife. The only way you would get a signed copy was if you pre-ordered it, simply because of the demand. My friend had pre-ordered it. She was excited about getting a signed copy, but knew that she would not have a good chance of getting a hanklerfish or extra doodle. When it came in, however, she discovered that she had gotten one of the ones with a hanklerfish. She was so happy about it. And it was in this moment that I truly understood the meaning of "to be happy for somebody else". Because I was. I was happy for her, that she got this little extra thing that really isn't that big, but means so much to her. Needless to say, that is the one book she wouldn't let me borrow :)

Halloween Costumes
I was just looking up ideas for Halloween costumes. If I do decide to dress up, I might be Mary Poppins. But while I was looking, I saw this, which I just thought was the best costume ever. I know my one friend would love it!
I have much respect for this man.
UPDATE:
I was just having this fantasy, that if I did dress up as Mary Poppins and was walking around campus, I say a guy dressed up as a chimney sweeper. We would talk because of our matching costumes and then he turned out to be the one: CAN YOU IMAGINE HOW CUTE OUR "HOW DID YOU MEET?" STORY WOULD BE?!?

Ducks...and A Swan
As requested, here are some of the photos from my Art Trip.
Or I guess not because my computer is being stupid.

Artists, Models, The Market and Ducks
That describes my day today. It was an art field trip. We went to the Art's Project downtown and heard from Steve Tracy who is an painter having a show there currently. He has some pretty cool stuff. He recently finished a series called Sculpted Flowers, in which he uses a technique similar to that of decorating a cake. He fills tubes with a few different colours and squeezes it through a custom tip onto the canvas. It results in a very 3D effect. And one that is very tempting to touch. All of my friends expressed a desire to touch the paintings. At the end of his talk, he asked if anybody had any question. I asked if someone were to touch them, would it be rock hard or bendable? And his answer: Oh, well you can touch them if you want. !!! My one friend actually let out a little yelp. Needless to say, everybody was walking around touching all the paintings. Not something every artist would allow!
Then we went into one of the studios and drew gesture drawings and figure drawings. It was really neat to do a 30min pose, that's the longest we've ever done. I didn't think I would like it because when we were doing 10min poses I found that I had too much time. But knowing that I had 30mins allowed me to take more time on the proportions and then eventually work on shading. Then we went to the Market and had lunch. (I think that this was what most people were most excited about throughout the entire day). I had a meat burek (a pastry tube type thing filled with meat and then coiled and baked, with sour cream, it's so good!). Then we went down to Harris Park to draw the ducks. We were lucky and found a pair of ducks that were content with just sitting there while we drew them. However, the whole point of drawing the ducks instead of something was to try drawing something that wouldn't stay still. Ah well, it was fun. I brought my camera and took lots of photos of the ducks and my friends. It was an overall great day.

So Close
Only one more exam to go: functions. This will be my hardest one. This
morning I had my computer science exam. It was only 4 pages,
single-sided. That is very short. I think I did fairly well, except on
one question where I drew a blank. I dislike having a weekend in
between exams because I think oh, I'm done exams, I don't have to do
anything. WRONG! And you really don't want to do any studying. But now
I am so close to saying done for real. After my exam tomorrow, I'm
going my BFFLAAT's house to tie dye some t-shirts. Then I'm going up to
camp for high ropes training. I'm kind of worried about this. Not
about the actual training, but the time slots. First of all, I don't
know when the time slots are. Second of all, the assistant camp director
was saying that she thinks that training won't go past 4pm. So what am I
going to do? I know that the wranglers are up there, and I think that
maybe one of the counselors is already up there, but I don't want to be
bugging them all the time. So I'm taking lots of stuff up to entertain
me. It's starting to sink in now that this is it, literally. I'm sure
I've told you this before, but after I get back from training on Friday,
I pack and then am back up at camp for the rest of the summer. Adios,
amigos! I've started to gt stuff together that I need to take up.
Tomorrow is Amy and Rory's 2nd wedding anniversary, it says so on my
Doctor Who calendar. I'm really sad, because the writers of DW said
that they're going to be killed off this season. I really like them.
This will be their third season, which I guess is the average span of
time that someone spends with the Doctor. Speaking of which, I've been
watching series 1 of DW, my friend lent it to me. I don't like this
actor as much, thankfully he only did one season. I really hope I like
the next actor, because he did 4 seasons!

My Day
So I think I did fairly well on my math test except for one question where I'm pretty sure I failed. But other than that, pretty good. The poster that I ordered for my friend (the one with the exploding TARDIS) came earlier this week. I really want her to have it, but I'm not sure how to give it to her. I don't know where she lives, and I only ever see her at school. Being a poster, it will not fit in my backpack which means I will have to carry it to school. Not that carrying it to schoo is an issue, it's just that I walk with a friend and from past experiences I know she will ask what it is. I am giving the poster to my friend as a thank you for lending me the DW series (which are around $60 each) so I'm sure it cost her a lot to buy them. The thing is, the friend I walk with has also let me something (the BBC Sherlock series). I'm sure Sherlock didn't cost as much as DW but she still lent it to me. I don't want to seem like I would give something to one of them but not the other. Since I think she gets a ride home after school maybe she could stop by my house? Is it rude to ask somebody to come to your house so you can give them something? Ugh. I dunno how I'm going to do this. Oh well. Tomorrow is the last day of school for the week, Pd day on Friday. I went to see The Hunger Games again last night with my brother and dad. Just as good the second time, maybe even better. It was obvious who hadn't seen it yet because they jumped sky high when the mutts jumped out. Not to say that I didn't jump (I did) even though I knew it was coming, but it was still pretty funny. My brother was still a little confused about some parts despite having just finished reading the book. And my dad, having not read the books (SHAME!) also needed to have some explaining done. But I was happy to help. :)

Lists
It's the TARDIS blowing up. Not that that is a good thing, but it's still pretty awesome. It's two of our favourite things in one: DW and Van Gogh. It's from the episode that I was talking about yesterday with Van Gogh. He paints this because he says he saw it happening. (It doesn't actually).

We Are Small
My dad just showed me this site:
Scale of the Universe
Pretty amazing, huh? Did you notice that Pluto isn't that much bigger than Italy? It really puts our size and everything into perspective. Not to say that we're not important, but it makes you feel pretty insignificant, doesn't it? It makes me think of this DW quote:
It's from an episode where the Doctor goes to visit Van Gogh. Amy (the Doctor's companion) believes they prevented him from killing himself so she hopes that when they come back to the present there will be more paintings by him, but there's not. Amy becomes sad, and then the Doctor says that quote. ('his' is referring to Van Gogh). It's one of my favourite quotes. My (DW-introducing-Sherlock-loving) friend did a sketch of the Doctor holding Amy's face and put this quote alongside it. It was so good I actually wanted to buy it from her. But she loved it too so she kept it. I'll have to ask her for a picture of it.

All Alone...
Ok, Sherlock was AWESOME!!!!! I love how they picked up from the MAJOR cliff hanger. Hilarious!!! But now I have to wait till next Thursday for the next episode. But if you think that I am freaking out, you should have seen my friend when she showed up last night, talk about freaking out! It was nice to have her there to share my freaking-out-ness with. :D Ah, I'm freaking out just talking about! Youth Group is going tubing tonight...despite the serious lack of snow here in London. Apparently the conditions in St. Mary's are great for tubing, but I have to admit I'm a little skeptical. Still should be fun though. I've been doing some scrapbooking over the past couple days, around 6 hours of it. (Clearly I have to much time on my hands). But the thing is, I've only done 4 pages. I think the pages look great, especially my title page for our cruise, but it makes me feel unproductive. So I stopped, but now I'm not doing anything. Which is also not productive... This is a picture from the Sherlock episode. They are in Buckingham Palace and yes, Sherlock is wearing a sheet. And nothing else. :D Gotta love him!

SHERLOCK
Exams are done! Now I don't have school till Monday! It's all worth it, the panic of exams, to have this break afterwords. Sweet freedom. More importantly, Sherlock airs tonight!!!!!!!! I'm so excited, you don't even know. My friend who understands my so-called "obsession" (just using my parents' words) is coming over to watch it with me. Sherlock was supposed to air in the fall, but that didn't happen. So it aired in January instead. But only on BBC, which, guess what? DOESN'T HAPPEN IN CANADA!!! It said on a site that it was going to air in May when we could finally get to it, which was very disappointing. BUT!!! (that is a very big but) it's airing on BBC Canada TODAY!!! So I am claiming our basement at 8pm and nobody is allowed to interrupt me and my friend.

Free Time
Wow, it's been a week since I've posted. I guess my excuse was Christmas, which was totally awesome!!! We visited some family over the weekend, and then some more family came over yesterday. Lots of presents!!! I haven't decided which one is my favourite yet. One thing I did get was a half-pound Reese peanut butter cup. That's right, half a pound. It is HUGE!!! It is the size of my hand, and it is so beautiful. I dunno if I want to eat it, just cause its so awesome. I also got a bunch of regular sized peanut butter cups, which I have no problem eating! I was working on my essay that is due the second day back earlier today, didn't get very far considering how long I worked on it. I have a feeling that writing this essay will be hard. Not much else going on, I've been watching all the DW episodes I recorded on Christmas. Have I mentioned that I love DW? Cause I do. It is so good! I keep freaking out at my friend who told me about DW as I find out what happens. I think she thinks that I've lost it :) I try and limit how many episodes I watch a day, but it's not working out well. We had some friends over to scrapbook earlier this week, and so our scrapbooking stuff is still covering the dining room table. I wish I had a picture inventory of all my scrapbook stuff so that I wouldn't forget about some of the stuff I have. Hope your holidays are going well (that is, if you have a holiday).

Busted
Today when I got home from school, my mom is asking me how my day went etc., then out of the blue, she says, "BTW (OK, so she didn't actually sat BTW, [she's not into that kind of stuff] but it was along those lines...) you're busted." WHAT?!?!?!? I was confused. She then goes on to tell me that she found out about my blog. So, busted. I went three weeks before she found out, not bad. She found out because a certain somebody (I'm not naming names...I don't want to be mean [and by all means I don't want to sound mean{even though I am sad she found out}cause its nothing serious]) might have mentioned it while talking about our friend in the hospital, because I had mentioned in a previous post that my parents were visiting him. The person then said that I had mentioned something about that on my blog. My mom was confused, because our friend (who from now on I am going to call FIH, Friend In Hospital) has a sister with the same name as me, thinking maybe it was FIH's sister's blog, the thought of me having a blog never crossing her mind. But then today she was looking at the history on the PC and tada, there was my blog. So, I guess I have to filter my thoughts now since my mom will most definitely be reading this blog. I'm jk, there is nothing on my blog that I would not say straight to my mother's face. The song of the day today is Over You - Daughtry. I really like Daughtry, you should check out some of their other songs. About the picture...my friends and I can be a tad weird sometimes, especially my friend Kris-Ann. She is out there, but we are always quick to join her in her ways, but I am only like that with her, and maybe my BFFLAAT, seeing my weirdness is reserved for VIPs. Anyways, she like to Photoshop a lot of weird pictures. She didn't do this one, but this is a good comparison :)
