Finally

It's finally the weekend.  (spelling 'the' in that last sentence took me like 5 tries :$).  It's going to be a quiet weekend.  My dad is working and my mom and sister are in Niagara Falls for a dance competition.  So it will just be me and my brother.  Joy.  There's no youth group tonight.  We have been youth group deprived: no youth group two weeks in a row!  I don't know how I'm going to make it.  I'll have to go burn some energy at the gym.  Hahahaha. The gym.  I'm going to the Toronto Zoo on Tuesday for a biology field trip.  There are four down sides to this. 1) We have to be at the school for 6:45. 6:45AM.  That is way to early. I don't even get up until 7AM. 2) We have to spend 4 hours on a bus probably watching a stupid movie. 3) We have to do a work sheet while we're there. And 4) I have attended every single T and T class. And that is a major accomplishment for that class.  The highest attendance we've had is 24 out of 26.  I am the only person who has shown up to every class.  And that will be ruined.  I googled myself today.  I didn't show up as far as I can see.  It makes me feel immune to the internet.  Mwahahahahaha your reaching claws (read: search engines) cannot reach me!!!!!

Long Day

I'm not actually swearing here.  Or saying that I'm fabulous (although I am).  I am merely showing you this gif I found of Benedict Cumberbatch.  I think the saying suits the picture perfectly.  I'm babysitting tonight.  Today has been a long day.  I had two tests this afternoon.  I don't think my math one went as well as I had hoped.  Wow, watching that gif flashing is really distracting.  I should probably go eat dinner.  We are having lasagna, one of my favourites.  We are having our roof redone right now so there is lots of banging going on.  My parents (ie MY FATHER) decided to get bigger air vents for the roof than the ones we had.  And I mean BIG.  They stand up and everything.  I really don't like them but wasn't complaining because they are going on the back.  But then I found out that there is one going on the garage roof as well.  This means I'll see it every time I look at the house.  OR OUT MY WINDOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm actually so mad.  I do not want to see that thing every time I open my blinds in the morning.  "Oh, I think today is going to be a great day. (starts opening blinds) I'll read some of my book and perhaps do some...(sees vent).  Ugh. My day has officially been ruined.  By some PLASTIC." Seriously, that's what it's going to be like.  I found online some instructions to build a Lego TARDIS.  (That's one down side to Lego: they have every popular franchise EXCEPT DW!!!)  But since I'm pretty sure I don't have all the pieces, I'm going to have to buy the individual pieces.  (You can do that online.)

If

I've been thinking about a lot of if's recently.  Sometimes when I'm doing homework I think about if I went to this school or that school.  Or if I hear an announcement or there is a electronic sign I think about if loops from computer science.  I'm actually doing that a lot now, imagining the code for how different things operate.  It's made me think that that's maybe what I should go into since I'm thinking about it so much.

Disbelief

I would have posted last night, but I was to STUFFED FULL WITH SUSHI!!! A couple friends and I went out to Sushi Galore last night for all you can eat sushi.  It was realllllllllly good.  I was feeling slightly sick afterwards, but it was well worth it.  I tried a hand roll (see picture).  It's pretty much the same as a normal sushi roll, but it was more fun to eat :) So you know how sushi places always give you too much wasabi? You always think, "Who would ever use that much wasabi?"  Well, my friend used it all.  Every last drop.  I couldn't believe it.  Neither could my other friends.  I was really shocked. I can hardly eat the little bit that sticks if I stick my chopstick in the wasabi.  Anyways.  We were doing presentations today in T and T and they were pathetic.  There were spelling mistakes EVERYWHERE.  They obviously just copied information from the internet because they didn't even know what they were reading.  One girl didn't even bother to try reading one slide, she just said, "Yea, these are some interesting facts." I couldn't believe it.

The Weekend Has Reached It's End

So I went to Camp Hermosa yesterday.  (I almost wore a Forest Cliff Camp t-shirt, but then I decided against it ;)).  We (when I say we, I mean my dad, brother, a family friend and I) went up to help build a new cabin in our friends' name.  But it turned out to be a bit of a long day.  More people showed up than expected and they had more construction experience than we did.  So that meant that they had a higher priority to be doing work.  Also, they were working on the roof, and you can only have so many people on a roof at once.  So we ended up standing around for most of the day.  The funny thing is that a lot of the people that were working are over 60 years old.  You would think the middle-aged men would be working over the grandpas.  It also started raining so that cut work short a little but.  I haven't done much today.  Last night after we got back from CH we watched Angels & Demons.  I was really disappointed when the speech I really liked wasn't in the movie.  Anyways, we didn't get to bed till after midnight.  So I was really tired.  My mom and sister had been in Hamilton for a dance competition and didn't get back till after midnight as well.  So since I knew my mom would be tired and want to sleep in I figured I would sleep in as well.  I didn't get up until 11:30.  Then we had breakfast for lunch and my entire day has been thrown off.  We are going to go out for ice cream later.  Whenever we do this it is a bit of a fiasco.  My brother is allergic to peanuts and so places like Marble Slab and Cold Stone Creamery aren't good places for him to go.  But the rest of my family loves those places.  When my brother was younger and a little less aware of what was going on in the world we would just get him something at McDonald's.  But now he realizes that McDonald's isn't really an even substitute.  So we tried Kiwi Kraze.  But then my parents didn't like that.  So now we are generally stuck with Dairy Queen (I really want to try their Blizzard of the month right now) or Baskin 31 Robins.  You know you are pretty well off when the biggest issue your family has is where to go out for ice cream.  Had you noticed that B31R incorporated the number 31 into the BR of their logo? Pretty snazy.

She Found Out

O. M. G. My BFFLAAT found out about my blog. I'm kind of freaking out right now. I always knew she would find out about it at some point, but I never imagined it would happen quite like it did. So her mom was over scrapbooking and my BFFLAAT and I had just got back from seeing our friend in her school production of Annie. My BFFLAAT's mom wanted to see my room because she hadn't seen it since I had redone it. So we went up to see it. In fact, we all went up to see it. Like, my entire family was in my room. My BFFLAAT briefly looked around but wasn't really looking because she's seen it before. Then she opened my cupboards. I had recently put a card that my BFFLAAT's mom had given me in there. It was the one that had the 'I'm more interesting on my blog' quote on it. My BFFLAAT thought it was a little strange that I had that card so she read it. In the card my BFFLAAT's mom had asked me to telly BFFLAAT about the blog. And there you have it. My BFFLAAT officially knows about my blog. Whether she will be able to find it is another story altogether. I'm sure her mom will tell her how to find it( I think she's the most relieved out of all of us. She had almost blown it so many times). The thing is, it's not like it's some random URL address that no one will ever find it. I mean, if you know what you're looking for, it can't be that hard to find. Now on an even bigger note, I get the gift that my BFFLAAT's mom said she would give me if I told my BFFLAAT about the blog. :). I'm really excited about it. But at the same time, I'm worried I'll be disappointed by it I'm not sure how far she would go to make me tell my BFFLAAT. Oh well. It's been a long day. I had a bio test this morning. Last night I had realized that we never went over the format of the test in class. So I was worried that didn't know what I was going into. Clearly there was no need to panic because it was 30 M/C and 6 true/false. Probably the easiest unit test I've ever written. SOTD is Long Time Coming by Oliver James. (see previous post).

Chain Reaction

I just finished watching the movie What A Girl Wants.  It's all part of a large chain reaction.  On Friday night after gardening I was flipping through the channels on the TV and I saw Hilary Duff.  Since I hadn't thought about her in a while, I decided to watch it.  It turned out to be the movie Raise Your Voice.  I had never heard of it before.  It wasn't bad, an average chic flick.  But the more important thing is that Oliver James was also in this movie.  Since it was a movie about music, he was singing in it and it made me think about when he sang in What A Girl Wants.  This cause me to look him up and fall in love with him all over again.  ( I can see the shock on my mom's face as she reads this already).  So I YouTubed his song and the only video that showed up was the clip from the movie which wasn't the entire song.  So then I looked on iTunes and there it was.  And you know how once you buy song they give you recommendations? I saw some other songs and here I am $2.97 poorer.  Not really, I had a giftcard.  But still.  So then I was thinking about What A Girl Wants, so I figured I'd watch the movie.  I had forgotten how much I liked the movie.  But watching it again also kind of ruined it.  Now that I'm older than when I last watched it, I've noticed how some of the things they said are really cheesy.
