Mwahaha

This is a quote from DW that I have memorized:

The Doctor: Hello Stonehenge! Who takes the Pandorica, takes the universe!  But, bad news everyone, cause guess who!  Ha! Listen, you lot! You're all whizzing about.  It's really very distracting. Could you all just stay still a minute because I. AM. TALKING!!!  Now, the question of the hour is, Who's got the Pandorica? Answer: I do.  Next question: Who's coming to take it from me?  C'mon!  Look at me! No plan, no back-up, no weapons worth a damn!  Oh, and something else I don't have: Anything to lose!  So if you're sitting up there in your silly little spaceships with all your silly little guns and you've got plans on taking the Pandorica tonight, just remember who's standing in your way!  Remember! Every black day I ever stopped you.  And then.  And THEN! Do the smart thing.  Let somebody else try first.
That should keep them squabbling for about half an hour.

Food

Ugh.  I hate this weather (raining and cold).  I hate it even more when it's windy, so you can't even use your umbrella.  I would have a cup of hot chocolate, but I already ate a cookie.  (This is my attempt at watching how much I eat.) My sister never stops eating, after school especially.  She's been home 15mins and she's already had a big bowl of cereal (cinnamon toast crunch, nonetheless), and a cookie.  Oh, she's having another cookie.  On the days that my parents are home when we get home from school, they always tell her not to eat so much, and tell her to have fruit, but on days like today when it's just her and  at homeI, she doesn't stop.  We have to put limits on food so she doesn't eat it all.  Do you ever have a food you really like, and you'll eat some, but then leave it for a day or two before you eat more, to make it last longer? My brother and I like this process. My sister doesn't understand that concept.  Its really annoying.  Sometimes we will buy these french toaster sticks and we all love them, but my brother and I would have them every other day, but by then they would be all gone because my sister has eaten them all.  We have been forced (yes, forced) to buy three bags at a time, one for each kid, just so we can all have some.  Man, who knew ranting about family could make you feel so good?  I tell my parents that they need to make a rule (my sister just grabbed a handful of crackers, snack #4) about how much my sister can eat.  But no, they just tell her to stop, they don't make it a rule.  Which made me think about how I would control my kids when I grow up.  Which then led me to think of other rules and limits I would set, leading me to believe that I will be a very strict parent.  I love it when you are having a conversation, and you think back about how you got to your current topic.  Speaking of food, I made chili last night for us to have for dinner tonight and I am loving this recipe so much!  Tomorrow at school I am doing a Vow of Silence (no talking, texting, email, etc.), so I don't know if posting on my blog counts? Just in case, I probably won't post tomorrow.  Not that I post everyday anyways.  This is a quote said by my beloved Doctor.

Its Over?

This weekend went by way too fast.  Yesterday I went to see Arthur Christmas, and it was sooooo funny.  You should go see it, I couldn't stop laughing.  I think I was annoying everyone around me :)  I then slept over at my BFFLAAT's house.  Went to church this morning, ate lunch at Union Burger (love it!) and bought a couple picture frames for my room.  I spent the afternoon studying for my physics test.  I have understood this unit a lot more than I have the others.  But one thing I find is that the review questions are more difficult than the questions we do during the lessons.  So I dunno if we are expected to know how to do these more difficult questions... Ugh.  It's all just such a pain.  I still have chemistry homework to do, hopefully that won't take too long to do.  My friends and I are doing Secret Santa this year, and I got, well, one of my friends. (This is one of the times I wish my blog wasn't a secret, cause then I'd be able to tell you about my friends [cause I don't want to put their names online without their permission])  She is really funny and kind of weird, more out there than the rest of us.  I only really got to know her last year, so she still surprises me with things about her.  That make it even more difficult to buy her a present.  I was going to go shopping this weekend for Christmas gifts, but that didn't happen.  I went to the gym yesterday, and now my legs are sore.  On Wednesday I'm taking a Vow of Silence to raise money for our school to build a school in Kenya through Free the Children.  If you haven't heard of Free the Children, you should look it up cause the guy who started it is truly amazing.

RENT

Just got back from Starbucks!  Tried their chai tea latte, it was fairly good.  We have a chai tea latte instant powder stuff, and personally I like it better.  I can't wait till the end of the week (which is tomorrow!).  Went to see the school production of Rent today, it was pretty good.  Unfortunately, one of the main character's mic wasn't working for the first two scenes, which meant you couldn't hear her unless you were in the front row.  I was disappointed because people had said that she was really good and I was looking forward to hearing her sing.  But it was still pretty good.  It was kind of funny, because I was sitting at the back, near the sound booth.  The sound is just done by students, so it was funny to watch them panic about fixing the mic.  There was a big sigh of relief from them once it was working again.   Today's song is When We Stand Together - Nickelback

Shopping

I'm about to go to Masonville to go shopping, mainly at Aeropostale.  Usually I don't shop there, but they're having a 50% off sale, so I'm gonna check it out.  I didn't do much this afternoon, just worked really hard on my homework so that I would have time to go shopping.  Tomorrow at school there's a buy-in to go see the school production of Rent.  Apparently it's causing quite a stir in the neighborhood, what with all the "touchy" subjects.  Oh, time to go.  Beaver dam, I thought I would have more time to blog (still can't believe I'm saying that!) before we were going to go.

Time

I was going to blog yesterday after school. but I didn't have anything to say so I figured I would do it later.  Clearly that didn't happen.  The new CWD episode was on last night, I almost forgot to record it, that would have been tragic.  The DW Complete Sixth Series comes out today!!! I don't know why I'm so excited, it's not like I'm going to buy it or anything, they are way too expensive to just be buying every time it comes out.  Oh well, it's on my wish list for Christmas.  I have a chemistry test tomorrow.  I think I know everything, but it's probably one of those situations where you think you know everything, but once you sit down and actually try it, you find you don't know what you're doing.  Lots of studying to do!  I told myself I wouldn't go see Breaking Dawn in the theaters, but I have to admit I am wishing I hadn't made that rule more than I thought I would.  My BFFLAAT went to see In Time with out me (insert gasp here) but I don't mind cause she said she would go see it again with me, so we're gonna go this weekend to see it.  I'm also gonna do lots of shopping this weekend, I have to buy Christmas gifts for everybody, and I have to buy my BFFLAAT's birthday present.  I hate not being prepared (ok, I know this is being hypocritical to what I said earlier, but it only bugs me for certain things).

Isn't it beautiful?!?

Over

Today I (and my dad) finally got around to hanging stuff up on my walls.  It is looking pretty good.   I want to put a quote about beauty around my mirror, but I can't find any that I like.  As I always feel after a long weekend, I am wishing it was longer.  I can't wait till Christmas.  We were in WalMart this afternoon and my dad asked my mom if she wanted to buy something that she had mentioned earlier.  My mom then proceeded to stare at my dad in panic, as I am guessing the gift is for me :)  I left, and then my mom gave my dad a stern talking to.  Somebody can't keep a secret!  We went to A&W for dinner last night, a new one just opened up a few minutes away from us.  It was pretty good, I love their fries!  This is the TARDIS (Time and relative dimension in space) from Doctor Who.  Did you know that the title Doctor who is actually a question, Doctor Who?  Apparently in one episode you find out that his real name is dangerous and cannot be said or something like that.  The Complete Sixth Series comes out on Tuesday, I can't wait!!!

Long Weekend

My, I need to remember to blog more often.  Yesterday was a PA Day, so that made the day good to start with.  I did some homework, watched some TV.  I went to youth group in the evening, It was the Bethlehem Walk at a church in Ingersoll.  It was really cool, you go for a walk though the woods as if you were a tax payer traveling from Jerusalem to Bethlehem.  The only down side was that it was freezing cold.  This morning I went to sewing for the first time in a few weeks, I am getting far along on my quilt, maybe I'll have it done by Christmas!  I am trying to think of what to get everybody for Christmas.  I know this might seem a little early, but Christmas is coming up fast.  I also have to come up with my own wish list.  This year for my wish list, I am making a list of links to the things I want.  That way, everybody knows exactly what I want.  I hate it when somebody tries to get you what you want, but then gets you the wrong thing.  I hate it when my nail polish stains my nails.  Just putting that out there. (this is the doctor, who I have been slightly obsessing about).

Where Does the Time Go?

I used to hardly ever listen to the radio, but I am starting to like it.  The ads used to annoy me, but hearing popular songs is worth it.  I am not one to really follow trends.  I never know the latest YouTube hits or the most popular songs.  I don't have the latest fashion clothes, I don't think I dress badly.  Sometimes I wish there was a machine that would take your clothes and pick out the best combination based on the latest trends.  Yea, that would be cool.  I wonder whether anybody actually listens to my song of the day.  If I were you, I would click on the video first thing then listen to it while I am reading the post.  Today's song is Tonight Tonight - Hot Chelle Rae.  This is one of the "in" songs right now.  I was looking on the site Etsy a lot this evening, I think its a cool idea.  I was originally looking for colourful picture frames to hang in my room, but ended up in the geekery section :)  Needless to say, I was adding a lot of things to my Christmas wish list (only 37 more days!) This year has gone by really fast, especially this fall.  I need to start my Christmas shopping.  This year, Christmas is at the very beginning of the school break, which means we don't go back to school until Jan 9th, 2012.  This is a quote that The Doctor often says to answer a question, leaving the questioner doubtful.  I was going to say something else, but I just lost my train of thought due to the sight on my sister in legwarmers.  Oh right, another quote the doctor say is "I wear a ____ now.  ____ are cool."  The most common variation is with the word bow-tie.  He also has said: "It's a fez. I wear a fez now. Fezzes are cool." which is my personal favourite.

Waiting

Just finished the most recent CWD episode, it was one of my favourite annual challenges, the one with the water tub on top.  I raked the leaves in our yard after school today, and as a thank you my dad took me to Starbucks and bought me sushi for lunch tomorrow.  Its these thank you gifts that make slaving away for an hour and a half almost all worth it.  I watched a few more episodes of BBT this evening, I am loving Sheldon so much!  I have almost got the tittle song memorized, I think by this time tomorrow I will have got it down pat.  This morning during/after breakfast I memorized The Eleventh Doctor's Stonehenge speech.  Clearly I have too much time on my hands.  But I like knowing it.  I can so easily annoy my father with it.  My dad's watching poker on TV right now, this one guy keeps betting money with a 6 and a 3.  Now, I don't have much poker experience, but even I know that doesn't seem like a very smart move.  The next season of DW comes out on November 22, and I can't wait. I'm also pretty excited fot the Breaking Dawn movie, coming out this Friday.  Have I mentioned In Time? I have, I'm pretty sure, I really want to see that movie.  So many things I want to see, so little time.  Well, I'm off to bed, too many late nights recently.

Eleven

Creepy! So as you probably know, on Friday it was 11/11/11, and then the time was 11:11, and I'm in grade 11.  Pretty cool right? It gets better.  My BFFLAAT and I went to SDM to buy snacks and our total was....wait for it....$11.11.  It was meant to be!!!  We were pretty hyped up.  We watched a movie (Shark Tale) and I almost fell asleep.  Now, to those of you who don't know me, that doesn't seem like a big deal.  But if there is something going on, I can not fall asleep.  Whether it's music, a movie or people talking, I don't fall asleep.  Just goes to tell you how tired I was.  Didn't do much this weekend, watched some DW, did some homework, nothing special.  My English photo essay is due on tuesday, but I (and the rest of the class) know that isn't going to happen.  At the beginning of the year, our English teacher gave us the chance to have two extensions on a project due date, one per term.  Most of the class used their extension on another project, but some still haven't used it.  The student teacher told us the term ends on tuesday, so there was a debate as to whether it would count as a first or second term extension.  But the actual teacher said the term technically doesn't end until Thursday, so it counts as a first term extension.  So now I don't have to panic (as much)!

Lest We Forget

My day was made today when I got my physics test back.  I improved my mark by a lot.  I'm so happy!  Brenden in my class also got a higher mark than last time and we were victory dancing together :)  I;m going to youth group tonight, it's Extreme Makeover, but nobody knows what that means.  The youth leader, Jon, only said "You'll have to come and find out." How annoying is that?  Afterwords I'm going over to my BFFLAAT's house for a sleepover, we are going to celebrate 11:11pm on 11/11/11.  How cool is this?  Some girls in my class screamed when 11:11am rolled around this morning.  I think Glee actors are really talented in that they can do those song mash-ups.  I watched their version of Someone Like You/ Rumor Has It.  I was singing along and I found it really hard to follow along with the changing songs.

Amazon

So I think I did fairly well on my physics test today, although I've thought that before and such has not been true.  I watched the last DW episode from series 5 this afternoon (after watching the previous two episodes again so that my dad would understand what's going on) and OMG I think I will die if I don't get my hands on another series DVD set soon.  I loved it so much, it was definitely the best episode I've seen.  I was on the DW website afterwords, and I might have accidentally ruined some sort of secret as to the Doctor's and River's relationship that came out in a later episode.  I was looking into buying myself the DVD set, and I was on Amazon and it was only $12 for the Complete First Series and I was like, "What?!?!? That's too good to be true."  Alas, it was.  I was on amazon.co.uk.  Of course on amazon.ca it costs $65.  I hate amazon for that.  But I also love it because of the kindle.  Sigh, my beloved kindle.  It's kind of dangerous, there's no stopping you from buying every book you want.  It tends to get expensive fast.  I try and see if the library has a book before I buy it.  I can't wait until libraries have e-books.  Today's song is Because of You - Kelly Clarkson

Physics

I am doomed.  I have been working on review for my physics test, and it is not making sense.  I gave up on understanding physics a long time ago.  Hopefully, whatever I go into, I don't need physics.  Today during third period (when I have physics) there was a buy-in to go see The Oax Factor (a parody on The X Factor), and going is the biggest regret of my life.  It wasn't that great, and I should have been studying.  I really hope I can figure this out.  I'm not doing too bad in the course considering the marks I've gotten so far.  There's just so much going on at school these days, it's starting to wear me down.  Today's song is Jar of Hearts - Christina Perri.  One of the girls in The Oax Factor sang this today.  Not my favourite song, but I like the message.  This Christina Perri, I think she's pretty.  I desperately want to watch the last DW episode, the previous episode left him trapped in a box!!!!!! Pure torture. But as a punishment for not understanding physics, I am not letting myself watch this all-important episode tonight.  What a test for my self-control.

Nothing Much

Here I am again.  I don't know what to say, nothing much going on right now.  My physics test was supposed to tomorrow, but it got bumped to Thursday, to which I will be eternally grateful for.  This week's sketchbook assignment is another freebie, so I've decided to do THG logo/mockingbird.  You know, since I have so many short forms, I think maybe I'll put them on the side bar to help you out.  I watched a couple episodes of Doctor Who after school today, and I am loving it!!! But to display my self control and to prove that there is method to my madness, I am only letting myself watch two episodes a day.  This way it will last longer, and I won't go on withdraw so soon.  My friend lent me her copy of BBT season three today, I really want to watch it, but I want to finish Doctor Who first.  Oh, the complicated life of watching TV :)  See, I like having seasons on DVD, because then I don't have to wait a week before it comes out.  But that also means that there is nothing stopping me from watching all the episodes in one day.  BTW, I have listened to It Will Rain 201 times, making it the number 15 on the list.  I think I might give up.  My parents were commenting on my mood, I haven't been Miss Sunshine lately, I guess.  I dunno what's up, just not into it I guess.  Oh, I forgot to mention awhile ago, the teachers at school (where else?) dressed up as pirates, there was one teacher who looked like Jack Sparrow :)

Weirdness

I have to go to the bathroom.  Not probably something that you would think someone would announce.  Especially on a blog.  But in my group of friends, we don't think too much of it.  The conversation usually proceeds as follows: "I have to go pee." "Then go." "I don't wanna." "Why not?" "I'm too lazy" "Then don't complain."  Such is the life of the average teenage girl.  Ha, yea right.  But seriously, we do have conversations like this.  We all understand that we're just being silly.  I love my group of friends, they mean a lot to me.  I would tell you all about them, but I would have to ask if I could talk about them online, but that would mean revealing my blog, so until they find out (which I'm sure when one finds out, the rest will not be far behind), you will just have to wait.  Today's song is Mr. Know It All - Kelly Clarkson.  I don't have much to say, other than this is probably the weirdest music video I have ever seen.

Love It or Hate It

That's it.  We need to get a faster computer.  And internet.  It has taken me five minutes just to get to my blog.  A girl should not have to deal with this.  As predicted, my mom was slightly shocked at the pic of Shiloh on my blog.  But I didn't have to talk to her about it cause I was in the middle of watching Doctor Who, my new favourite TV show!!!!!!!!  Honestly, he reminds me of Sherlock, kind of out there and crazy, just the way I like it :)  They might be so similar because they are both produced by BBC...and written by the same person.  But I love it.  My friend asked me to watch it and gave me her copy of the fifth season (so that's the doctor I'm on in case you were wondering) and at first I wasn't so sure I would like it, but I have never been so wrong in my life!  I think everybody should watch it at least once in their lives.  The song I am listening to right now is A Thousand Years - Christina Perri.  I heard it this morning on MuchMore, and I admit that the only reason it caught my eye is because its going to be in the Breaking Dawn Part 1 movie.  Everybody is now either an obsessed fan, or hates Twilight.  I still like it, I think its a good series, and I want to go see the movie when it comes out.  I've got to go do some cleaning, we have guests coming over for dinner.  Whenever Google has a special logo, I like to save the picture, but then I found this site, where you can see all of them, even the ones that don't show up in Canada.

Grudges

I suck at holding grudges.  I'm just to forgiving.  I'll storm around for awhile, but after about an hour, I'm over it.  Some people hold grudges forever, I just don't know how they do it!  I have yet to still watch this weeks CWD episode, I have just had so much going on.  I'm trying to get my room back together so that I can sleep in my own bed and I have a lot of school work.  And I think its legal to have to enjoy some of my day.  I have taken up crocheting.  I can't remember how, but a few years ago I expressed an interest in it, so my dad bought me a teach-yourself-to-crochet book, then it sat in my closet for years.  But I have decided to actually learn it this time.  I think I'm doing pretty good, something to keep my hands busy while watching TV or listening to music.  I guess I'm kind of into stuff that's fading away: I sew (and who does that anymore, really?) and now I crochet (I bet you a lot of people don't even know what that is).  Its sad to think of people who get up, go to work, eat, and sleep, then repeat.  They live to make money, but then they run out of time to spend it.  I'm not saying that people shouldn't try and make money, but don't get stuck in a boring old routine.  I am super tired, and I swear I will actually go to bed earlier today.  Its almost the weekend!  Today's song is Haven't Met You Yet - Michael Bublé.  This is Shiloh Fernandez.  I was going to put this pic up earlier, but I wasn't sure what my parents would think of a pic of a guy on my blog.  But I got over it.  I think he's kind of sexy, don't you?

Wednesday 2 November 2011

In Time

So, my parents, or at least my mom, looks at my BFFLAAT's blog almost daily.  And lately, my BFFLAAT has not posted anything.  Since Oct. 12th.  That is a long time.  TOO long.  See, they had this deal at the beginning of the year that if they posted a picture everyday for the first six months, they would get new cameras.  And they succeded.  But now it seems that since my BFFLAAT has her camera, she's slacking off.  Maybe she should lose her camera if she doesn't start posting soon (just an idea).  And no longer will I accept the excuse that the camera is at the wrong house or that there isn't enough time.  There is always time for a blog! :)  I went to Anti-Gravity Yoga (which from now on I will refer to as AGY) again tonight.  I don't have as a big a head ache as I did last week, which is good.  I'm going off now to do my chemistry homework/watch CWD.  My friend has lent me her Doctor Who series 5 disc set, she desperately wants me to watch it.  There seems to be a lot of show I want to watch: New Girl (haven't seen it yet but it looks interesting), Doctor Who. Once Upon A Time (which I STILL haven't seen), Revenge (a friend wants me to watch this one), and ooooooohhhh have you heard of the movie In Time?  I want to see it sooooooo bad!!!!!!!!  I hope its good, I think its a really interesting idea and I don't want it to be ruined.  Today's song is Don't You Wanna Stay - Jason Aldean ft. Kelly Clarkson.

Movember

You might be thinking to yourself, she spelled November wrong.  Well, let me assure you that I meant to.  Movember is a fundraiser for prostate cancer, and to raise money people (more likely men, but I didn't want to be sexist) grow beards and collect pledges.  Its funny to see what some people come up with.  Halloween went well, we got 74 kids.  Some memorable costumes are: angry birds, ipod touch - sandwich board style, and a morph suit.  I did an angry birds pumpkin.  So did my BFFLAAT, we had the exact same template, but I think my execution was better (don't tell her that).  My BFFLAAT came over to help with handing out candy.  We watched Big Bang Theory, which I had never seen before, but I thought it was pretty funny.  I plan on watching the next episode of CWD later on (I PVR it and watch it later).  Since I had to move a bunch of stuff out of my room in order to paint it, I figured it would be a good time to sort through it before I put it back.  Needless to say, a much bigger task than originally thought.  My bed is covered with stuff, so I'm sleeping on the futon.  I am trying to think of an idea of what to do for my sketchbook, we got a freebie this week (we can do whatever we want), which I hate.  I can never think of what to draw.  For the It Will Rain update, I have listened to it 151 times.  But the song above it, Clair de Lune, has been played 187 times, so it will take a long time just to overtake that song.  I don't know if I'll be able to make it.  Oh well.  I guess I have better things to be doing in life :)
